I have this memory 2x4GB modules. It is in the sandybridge setup in my sig. Running at 1866mhz.

Now the stock timings are as follows.

9-10-9-27 latency With 2t

-------------------------------
I have managed to get

9-10-9-20 With 1t.

My question is. Is this actually better? lowering the timing from 27 to 20.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

1) It's "better".

2) You're unlikely so see much real world benefit:

3) I hope you're keeping the voltage low:

Recommended memory voltage is 1.50v, so make sure to run your memory at 1.50v, higher could limit lifespan of the CPU.

1.65 volts.

I would try and lower the voltage a bit if you can.

It's default on the XMP profile. But I will give it a try thankyou!
