Corsair Obsidian 550D

Hi GeezerButler, how much clearance is the between the door and the front of the drive bays? Wondering whether i will be able to close the door without it hitting the knobs of the Scythe Kaze Master Ace fan controller.

Sorry for the delay responding - I would say the clearance is next to nothing - no more than a few millimetres...:(

thx for the pics and review GeezerButler

Its still a lovely case, still eats me up knowing they did not leave much space behind the case for better management, it seems however not many cases have really figured this out.

There are quite a few silent cases still around, still using a fractual R2 case myself and its decent the R3 still looks a nice choice but there are still many top choices out there!

Still liking the case overall. The door is getting a little easier to use with time. Main problem now is that the case fans are so quiet I'm going to have to change the CPU cooler fan as it's now plainly audible over the case fans....:)

I was having some space issues on the back panel but seeing yours shows me what I was doing wrong. (I was putting wires below the cpu cutout, not in the sunken area.

Aye - it's a shame about the clearance behind the board. It's a nice case but Corsair really should have left bit more room - another 1cm would have made things much easier.

Nice rig BTW :)

I have to say I'm mightily impressed with it, save the lack of space behind the mobo tray. Got my 90 degree sata cables though so will take some pics tonight.
