Corsair SSD

Hi

Have the Corsair Extreme X64

When first installed, it appeared in windows computer performance as a 7.5 and then it dies and was RMA'd and now just in process of re-installing and windows shows it as 6.9...it has firmware 2.0 / trim enabled etc etc..

Is there anything additional I have forgot to do...or is firmware 2.0 responsible and nothing else I can do? ( or need to do)

Hi... is your SATA controller set to run in AHCI mode? As this can effect performance and WEI score.

It is not, but I have an extra Sata controller card in...and when i installed i checked both the usb 3 and the ahci driver....will unistall and see what that does...cheers(the ssd is plugged straight into the mobo..and have a backup os drive running from the additional asus controller card..

it not running in the bios (although windows registry does say it is enabled..)

Have updated all the intel / mobo / graphics card drivers etc etc..and SSD now at 7 (gpu gone to 7.8 now

...so think I will live with that for the mo... (my gpu was showing as 5.8 before upgrading to the 470..so thought great spend the money get the whole lot upto 7.5...and everything look good...not...
