put my hardware in a CiT Raider tempered glass case and my sfx Silverstone is too short on the 24 pin, so need a new unit, the 450BT I’ve now got for another build doesn’t look to be a stronger unit to use myself, so is the 80 gold Corsair a strong unit?

Ideally I need this to be able to power better cards than my 1060 if I decide to upgrade, also the Corsair is £65 with such & such which is where I’m ordering from, so let’s say £65-70 my budget.

No need to spend that much. You can get aThe Akasa one for under £4 and a good quality Phanteks one for under £7. I am using a Phanteks extension kit in my build now. Previously I used Bitfenix ones but due to a colour theme change I went Phanteks this time around. Both are high quality leads and I have never had any problems using cable extensions.
