Recently i purchased my self a shiny Q9450 to keep my rig speedy for the next year or so, now i fully intend t overclock this to within an inch of its life so have source a P45 board to throttle the life out of it with but im concerned my ram is going to let me down, given the price of DDR2 now with it moving away form the mainstream im inclined to try and percivere for a short while.

I have a 4gb kit of the memory thats in the title currently running an fsb of 415Mhz, ive never even with my E6300 been able to get past 430, now this maybe down to the mobo or the memmory so id like to try and iliminate either, if the memmory is good for a decent Oc im ok. Ive read on the net that 2.1v is a nice voltage to keep this memmory stable, its rated for 1.9 id like to know what peoples experience with this memmory is and if 2.1v would be safe?

Not sure if this helps, especially because i've never overclocked a thing in my life, but a while back I was having major issues with my computer. The ram I had was this same one you do. (presumably it's C4?). In any case, one of the things that I tried to fix it was putting the voltage of this ram at 2.1. My issues continued as per normal and it didn't help that, but the memory itself was stable at that much. No issues with that at all. (finally turned out to be a faulty mobo). But my timings and speed etc was all stock at that. So I have no idea how 2.1 is for overclocking, but it's fine for stock.
