Corsair XMS3 faulty stick - chances of a warranty replacement?

Hi, my daughters PC was playing up - after much faffing it appears on of the 4GB sticks is faulty, what are the chances of Corsair replacing the faulty stick? I don't have receipt or anything as I got them off the forum a while back - can't remember who from so doubt I can get help that way.

Corsair will probably honer warenty regardless of receipt
The question is how long will the process take
And were do you have to send the ram
It might be easier to just buy some second hand ram

Cheers for the reply, in the end I bought more ram but thought I'd try to RMA the faulty ram, they accepted it but only because I had a corsair PSU that I had a receipt for - they said they'd do it as a one-time gesture of goodwill based off that receipt.
