CorsixTH - An open source clone of Theme Hospital hits beta 2

Do you need the fill game now and not just the demo? Just tried it and can't get it to run

*edit* tried a few things and got it running but only the demo levels and it is really restricted, when it was in beta I could play the full game using only the demo files

Aside from higher res I don't really see the appeal.
I bought Theme Hospital as an ''EA classic'' release, it still works fine, even on win7 x64...

The same reason for OpenTTD? Once they have the base game fully functioning they can add more levels, more diseases, more rooms. Its going to create a very moddable engine.

This project aims to reimplement the game engine of Theme Hospital, and be able to load the original game data files. This means that you will need a purchased copy of Theme Hospital, or a copy of the demo, in order to use CorsixTH. After most of the original engine has been reimplemented in open source code, the project will serve as a base from which extensions and improvements to the original game can be made.

Are you sure? As far as I know that's never been the case. Since the game still loads the original game files, if you only have the demo levels then that should have been all you could play.

And on the day they had scheduled too?? Sticking to the timeline - impossible!

Hope the earthquakes are turned down a bit now. I had to rage quit a few times playing the penultimate level as huge swathes of the hospital had become destroyed :D

Aha:
Fix: Earthquakes could be four times as severe as intended. Still todo: A tremor before a coming big earthquake.

Ahhh man...installed it on my Tablet and started a quick game to test and see what it was like.

Ended up giving myself neck-crip after being indulged for 2 and a half hours :D
