Hi,

I think one of the engine mounts on our Skoda Fabia is creaking around. I think they're a fluid-filled type bushing so perhaps the fluid has leaked away. Car is only on 40k but 10 years old. Had the cam belt changed last year so perhaps the engine mount was damaged during the procedure.

Anyway, Skoda wan't a tad over £130 for a new mount, CP4L comes to £77 with discount code for a Corteco part. Are these of good quality?

TIA.

Hi,

Thanks for the links.

Yes, it's a 2005 1.4 16v, but it's the 100bhp variant. Unsure if this has different mounts than the 75bhp?

I'll research a part number/look under the bonnet before ordering the above.

Any idea who the OEM supplier is?

I did an oil change the other day so had a good poke around and there's definitely too much play and some mechanical noise coming from this mount. Only 40k miles old. I think it's the BBZ engine.

Thought I should update this thread.

I ended up buying a Febi mount for £65.
It was identical in absolutely every way other than where the Skoda fitted part had VAG markings/part numbers in the metal casting the Febi part had shiny grinder marks.

Easy to fit and has cured the clonk so a job well done.

Thanks again for your earlier advice and links.
