So the next series of Cosmos looks to be being made - hosted by Neil Tyson working with Seth MacFarlane and several others who worked on the original. It could be good, but i doubt if it will have anything on the original. It's a damn shame that Carl isn't with us to host it... hell, they should repeat the first series. Whether they're making another or not

I remember the original. Groundbreaking stuff. I'm not sure we need another Universe series though, even one trading on the greatness of Sagan and his innate ability to explain complexity simply.

Well expect to be waiting until 2013 at least anyway. Can never have too many well made documentaries.

As long as it isn't a (co-)production with/by the Discovery Channel, or made in their awful style (like the current series "The Code").

Yes the sytle will be all important. Fingers crossed that they don't go over the top.
