It can be a bit sad. Some people really believe it! I did have a friend who used to go real sword fighting and stuff which was fairly cool and his dad used to make weapons and costumes for movies and he got to use things like that.

LARP has a bit of a stigma attached but I don't care. It is a fun way to spend a weekend, drinking, fighting and mucking around.

Yeah but the weapons are real and hurt more. Use larpers use padded weapons and dress up as orcs. Don't see many orcs in ER on your average Friday night!
