Cost to replace the back of an S8 phone

Hey all.
I have smashed the back of my Galaxy S8.
Pricey vary wildly online for a repair job and I can buy the part for a tenner on Ebay.

I wondered if anyone has any experience in this field?

I used to repair/fix phones/tablets. S8is one of the easiest phones to repair IMO. Heat the back, remove it (it's just tape) and put the new one on.

The back on my S9 is cracked (long story) and looking at replacing it myself. As far as I can gather the replacement backs are held on with tape and replacement backs come with pre installed.

The idiots that cracked mine then wanted over £240 to replace it :mad:

It seems I could get a replacement back on ebay for less than a tenner!

The backs come with them on usually. When you search just make sure it comes with adhesive. It says in the ad usually if it comes with it or not.

I got my sons S9 back repaired by Samsung doorstep repair service £77 and keeps its full warranty

FYI the backs you’re finding “for a tenner” will be copies, same goes for any adhesives installed on them.

Spend a little extra and get the proper Samsung ones !

Replaced mine twice.
Just get one of ebay they are fine for a couple of years old phone.

Remember to plug the fingerprint scanner back in.
