Costco Tyres

I think mine are the 82V so I'm presuming these would be the ones...

If that's the case then I'll probably snap these up next week and get them fitted so they've got chance to bed in before any serious (fingers crossed) frost.

Don't snap them up just yet... camskill aren't always the cheapest and aren't in this case.

The Conti's are an excellent choice though and while they might be a little more expensive than the arrowspeeds, they'll save you your insurance excess ;)

tend to find costco no cheaper than the big online places

that said they regularly send out mailshots with 25% off vouchers when you buy 2 or 4 tyres which makes them the cheapest around normally

well worth looking out for

Costco are pretty cheap for batteries, I ended up getting a Bosch one which was around £60 in Costco and I saw the same one in Halfords priced at £120! Lifetime warranty too, which is rather nice for something like a battery.

As for the tyres, I've not used them but to do tend to make a big deal over the fact that they fill them with nitrogen which I guess must reduce the weight by an insignificant amount...

Fox - tyres are 185/55/R15

This advice is appreciated guys!

try blackcirlces Kumho Kh31 @ £51.54 each delivered and fitted very good cheap tyres. Also you can normally get between 2 an 5% discount if you look for voucher codes online.

It a cheap run around of a car yes, so you don't want to spend more than you need to but you want to stay out of ditches.

Got Kumho KU31's on my Puma, simply awsome tyres and they where £165 for all 4 fitted. :D

KU31 are better than KH31

I'd go for KU31 in 185/55/15 or 195/50/15.

-Call up a local tyre fitting place and ask them to get the tyres in for you, probably around the same price tbh.. Plus some places can be funny about fitting tyres that were not bought from them

don't the t1r's wear fairly rapidly? a sort of false economy getting them for £40 a corner. I bought some Goodyear Eagle F1's (which i believe have a similar wear rate) and the fronts lasted 6k

They do, I'd imagine the PremiumContacts would last quite a bit longer. But as he isnt keeping the car long, perhaps it isnt an issue?
