Could a faulty gfx card cause aparaty error?

Hi

During games and even sometimes if I change my background I get a hard ware failure blue screen. Sometimes it says a NMI error and sometimes a memory paraty error. I've tried 2 lots of ram. Can a faulty gfx card cause it or just memory?

It is possible that an add in card can cause this error.

Im trying 1 card at a time now. The first card, I still got the error. Took it out and it seemed very hot to touch. Trying the other card by itself now.

Well it aint the gfx cards causibg the hardware failure. I'm stumped.

Test the RAM as that's a more likely cause than the GFX card. Try one DIMM at a time and in all the different memory slots in turn.
