I've made this
site_logo.png

But i want to make the background transparent so i tried this:-

http://ccgi.theblue.plus.com/cpg1414/albums/userpics/10002/normal_club_logo.gif it opens OK in paint etc but not anywhere else :(

Problem is that when i squeeze it to a size like the 1st it looks poop :(

I have the file without the club name in .tif and .jpg.

Could some clever peep with more photoshop knowledge have a go?

Club name is in Georgia

How do you mean, as a transparent background?

The background of the image is transparent, if that's what you mean..

You'll need to add a Matte depending on the colour background if using GIF.

IE6 doesn't support PNG Transparency.

Doh! sorry folk I should have said what its for. It a website logo.

I need it abou the same size as the 1st or a version that i can squash without loosing the detail and looking blocky (is that even possible?)

This is how the logo is being used but i want to be able to use it on the pages in my sig.

i think uvmain , has done what you asked for. The main problem is what SherberT* said , IE6 doesnt support transparancy

Ask a simple question get many many stupid answers. Thats the OC way . . . :D
I just used the highest res. pic I could find - at least that way, the OP can shrink it as needed without losing quality (as long as he does it right).

just cos no1 answered the Q - You can make an imagine that doesnt lose quality when it is resized, they are known as vector images, you are much better off just getting your logo resized to the exact size you need(post the width & height and sum1 will do it)

why do you want it transparent btw? why not just make the background of logo the same colour as the background of webste?

the guy doesnt know too much about imagin though, cant imagine him wanting to sit down and vector around his logo, can you? :p

Completely off topic but I was just wondering why the logo says BSAC when the name underneath is the Chesterfield Sub Aqua Club and the website address is also CSAC.org.uk?

op, just a thought, but you're not really that clued up on imagine and web editing, and well done for making the site, but theres a few things that need changing. have you thought of maybes posting somewhere asking about possibly getting someone to design the site, you obviously just want a simple one, i recon you could probably find a young person or a student around willing to whip one up for <£20 that will be simple, properly formatted etc. Could save you a lot of hassle and give you a better looking website!
