I'd do this. The motherboard will let you set the memorys clock speed and forget about it, so you can concentrate on getting the CPU overclocked and not worry about overclocking your ram Also, its cooling is a little nicer.
Also there's a nice PSU here, modular too so less cable mess.
The G.Skill ram is most likely fine even if you did wanna overclock - because it has CL4 timings you can loosen them up to 5's and overclock. I dont know if theres even a lot of a performance increase overclocking your RAM anyway, unless the odd few benchmark points mean a lot to you, or you have slow ram (which this isn't).
If you've already ordered now though, don't regret because the spec you've said is still an awesome spec
I guess so, but I really wouldn't know what I'd be doing. I guess I could do some entry level stuff but not the heavy stuff I've been reading about. With the above cooler (the Tuniq), would you be able to overclock without adding other stuff to it?
Honstely dude, overclocking is stupidly easy now..! Yeah you have to learn a few things, but dont let it put you off - you just have to learn a little bit of maths so you understand how much you're overclocking by... For some reason that scares people off
I haven't heard one person kill a Core2Duo from overclocking, and there have been some serious newbies clocking their C2D's without much knowledge Apart from a couple of people who tried to pull their IHS off their processor... But you wont be doing that
EDIT: I've written an overclocking guide but it's a bit of a read, so won't post it unless you want it?
