Could someone ...

There is a place for these cheap PSUs, i know a lot of people hate the now, i would never use them in my rig because they don't fulfil my requirements.

BUT!

if someone is making a 'cheapo' computer, for say £400 or less, then these can be great, i remember when i didn't pay attention to PSUs at all, i had a 400W Q-Tec, the highest that was around at the time (wattage wise) and it served me brilliantly, only with todays knowledge do i know that i was probably ragging it and it had a higher probability to break.

im just saying though that sometimes people cannot afford £40+ for a semi-decent or £60+ for a decent power supply. c'est la vie.

£400 pc, buy a Antec 1650 case, has a ANTEC HIGH QUALITY PSU in it, with a good case.

Where is there room for a Qtec in this world, the tip!

The FSP Sparkle ATX-400PNF 400W ATX2.0 PSU only costs £30 inc. VAT. Even if I was building a cheapo rig I would still avoid the Q-tecs.

let him get it, and when it dies at a LAN, point, take a deep breath and then say, "Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha........(breathe).Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....(Breathe) I told you so"

Noni gave a link to someone running a FX57 and SLI 7800GTX system of a Qtec, and who had time beleiving Noni that it was a good idea to spend £100 on a PSU; due to someone recommending that PSU for his system
