Could the LHC be sabotaging itself...from the future?

Sounds like intellectual onanism to me. Gratifying for the originator but no doubt irrelevant from anyone else’s perspective.
It actually sounds quite useful to me, it's always good in science to disprove things that appear to be theoretically possible.

either that orrrr SHOCK HORROR THE WORST MOST COMPLICATED DEVICE DOESNT WORK FOR A BIT SHOCKER. i highly doubt the lhc dropped a baggette on itself and surely if it is preventing itself from creating a black hole then how is it still there to prevent itself from doing so

Interesting theory though, I can't admit to understanding it all however.

However strange this sounds I really do love the idea behind it, be it some omipotent power or simple time and space subverting our attempts to do something that could innevitably destroy us or space and time itself.

One of my favorite sets of cooks, The Forever War series by Joe Haldeman, concerns something very similar where the main charcters use relativeistic effects to essentialy travel forward in time, (avoiding spoiling) at which point they get a royal kick up the arse as the universe starts to unravel.
