How did the earth come to be where it is? Do you not realise how unlikely every single part of the universe is yet it is here. The chance of the moon orbiting earth is as likely as mars and earth swapping places and us never having existed.

"Theory" does not mean "guess". It means a hypothesis that is arrived at through observation which can be experimentally tested. Such as the germ theory of disease, the theory of gravitation and the theory of evolution. Theories are either credited or discredited through experimentation, but nothing is ever called a "fact".

I think it's actually a magically solidified mass of dead people's spirits, as the spirits of all those billions who've died over the course of history have to go somewhere. It's not like their spirit/conciousness dies along with their brain or anything, DUH! And we obviously don't see billions of ghosts wandering around day to day... The moon simply must be made of them.
