I just thought that it maybe the reason why my internet is so blisteringly slow.

The phone lead that connects my microfilter to my router got split a long time ago. Instead of replacing it, I just twisted the bare wires around one another. So they're connected, and the internet connects. But could this be the reason why I get such appalling speeds?

Thanks for any help. :)

Re-Cable it see what happens. My internet used to drop out when i changed to high speed broadband, turns out the cable used for it was the wrong sort and horribly broken.. changed cable .. changed my life =)
