could you get by without the Internet in your job?

Well, I'm a security guard, so no, it wouldn't affect the job...I would, however, go totally stir crazy if I didn't have my mobile broadband adapter thingy.
 
Would be a struggle but I'm sure we could get through. only use 1 web based system that is critical (web texting) and this could be overcome by the use of a mobile.
 
Err unless the lottery machine and paypoint require the actual internet and not just a dialing connection, then everything in my wor would function properly, I work in a convenience (sp?) store.
