Could you recommend a fiction/novel audiobook from the Audible store, please?

The Power of One is my favourite book of all time, easily read it 20 times, not done the audio yet, so might have to give that a try.

I'm 3 or 4 hours in to Power of One, looking good so far. Thank you.

Anything by Neil Gamain,
and the Martian and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir..

Also the complete Sherlock Holmes read by Stephen Fry, 72 hours of joy...

So many good books out there and only one lifetime to read/listen to them...

I went through the Bobiverse series on recommendation from these forum, brilliant audio books so can also highly recommend. Also another good recommendation from these forums was John Scalzi's 'old man's war' series.

Sci-fi aside, The Count of Monte Cristo narrated by Bill Homewood, James Clavell's Asian Saga, John Le Carre books ( can sometimes get an Audible bundle on one credit ) and the Age of Madness series from Joe Abercrombie ( tied to the recommendation above - The Blade itself ) are all worthy listens.

Really enjoyed the Count of Monte Cristo, classic story and superbly narrated.

Pretty much anything by Scalzi is good, Old Man's War series is a fun sci-fi, whilst Locked in and Head On (the sequel) are near future detective books.

Re bundles for a credit, they do 2 for 1 sales (currently have one running), and if you are ok with Radio Drama's you can pick up things like seasons of BBC radio plays (the BBC radio plays of Terry Pratchett are very good, IIRC there are 5 in the set for one credit).

If you like Detective stuff then the Bosch series by Michael Connelly are very good, and were made into a TV series.
For historical fiction there is the likes of the Last Kingdom/Saxon stories series by Bernard Cornwall are very good covering a fictionalised account of the various kingdoms of Saxon Britain as seen through the eyes of the son of a noble whose father was betrayed and his working his way up to try and regain his home.
Tom Clancy can be a fun read, but it's a bit hit or miss.

Now and again they promote the 'collection' titles but you can just use the standard search function to look for them.

Obviously you're not getting relatively new releases, more stuff like the 'George Smiley collection', 'The Monster collection"( Dracula, Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde), 'Sherlock Holmes' ,'The Ultimate Sci-fi series. ..(20,000 leagues, war of the worlds etc' which for one credit will give you 108 hours of audio books.

I think this might have answered my question about where to start with audible. I’ve got an 80-90 minute each way commute and it would be amazing to take in these classic titles.

Few other good recommendations here so will have a look.

I need to look into podcasts carefully as well - have really enjoyed Flight 149 and need more like it! There must be some incredible non-fiction podcasts about.
