So, just giving feedback for a problem where I couldn't get win10 to update my daughter's machine for at least a year and a half.
There had been mentions of the bios being the cause of windows not being able to update, and the b350 board was a year or so out of date with a bios. Since I was swapping in an RTX 2060 into my kids machine I decided to update the bios, and sure enough... No more update problems.
Note that i had updated the chipset drivers as well before hand, as advised on the MSI page though.
Hey ryzen 1600 is now running great.
