counter strike 2 ?

Nothing you can do about the voice comms thing im afraid. So what if someones called where they died and where they last saw the opponent. Doesnt give HUGE advantages really if you are playing against skilled people.

it doesn't always but then again often it can. It can depend how and where people die. If someone was hunting them and found the whole group camping somewhere, or one person was covering A, rest at B and the whole team attacks A.

But like i said, i can't be bothered with clan matches anymore, not only were they few and far between, i don't like playing with clans who flat out cheat on public or private servers out of matches. its boring so i had no time for it, and still 90% of your time was playing out of matches where ghosting lets you cheat to a massive degree. not to mention if clan members are on both sides.

I still don't see why anti-cheat software can't be used to stop people joining a game if they have TS or other commonly available chat programs on. Frankly yes, people can make new apps and use them, but 98% of people won't bother, and steam is fully capable of updating those lists on a daily basis if needed. Lots of people cheat and don't even really think of it as cheating, they do it because its so ridiculously easy. you can accidentally cheat if you simply want to talk to the other "dead" people about what happened and the guys still playing can hear. the people that cheat on purpose will find a way, but they cheat now with no effort at least it will be harder. but the people that don't really realise what they are doing, and the a lot who won't bother looking to get around it won't cheat anymore. somethings better than doing nothing.

Quite a few people in past threads on ocuk about CS:S ghosting has come up and plenty of people have said its completely fine and not cheating, those people have a case to think that as Valve are doing absolutely nothing to fight it at all, when it is so so easy.

Also Tefal, how can you possible know how many people ghost in public servers, its unseeable, completely unknowable and unproveable unless you are on those players private TS server.

AS i said, i played on public servers, i joined quite a lot of the higher ranked hlxstats uk teams and they ALL ghosted on public servers and clan matches, it IS cheating simple as that. I joined two of the clans when invited as i suspected them of cheating, they were, i left.

Admins can never prove or know people are ghosting so again, how does a well admin'd server stop ghosting? they can't. only allowing ingame voice chat can stop it.

Because it is quite obvious when you see people suddenly turn and go to exactly where the person is,

And how if its "unknowable as you now say" does it ruin playing pubs for you, you must somehow know that it''s happening for it to ruin it for you:confused:

In game voice chat you can mute any player, so thats not an issue, just another reason why ingame voice chat is completely fine for any use. mute irritating idiots, hear your team, what else do you need exactly?

ERrm, so every time you go in a room if someones facing you he's cheating? no. Some people just check behind/infront of them often. as i said, ghosting is very difficult to see first hand on a one off occasion. one group on the bingobongo server(well several but one inparticular) it seemed more apparent that they were ghosting over a few days, then weeks later half of the regulars thought they did and were irritated by it, i got invited to the group, joined and found out in minutes that they were indeed ghosting. you can not catch it with demo's of the players.

the whole point is at any given second you can be facing the guy coming to kill you or get a shotty to the back, theres a huge element of luck to the game. whats irritating is when that element of luck is being caused by cheating. when you walk into a room and they know where you are more often than not it seems more obvious but. well, I really don't get why i'm bothering. Ghosting is an issue, aimbots/wallhacks earn people permanent bans and CAN be detected and 99% of the time when people are using them its insanely obvious. that i don't care about at all because they simply don't affect me and good servers with good admins on kick them and help get them banned permanently.

Its the guys you can't ban that get lucky way to often. 9/10 times they are ghosting and its simply unfair. Its boring to play against a team that has an unfair advantage its as simply as that. Ghostings a far bigger issue than aimbots/wallhacks as nothing is done about it and its very widespread.
