Counter Strike: Source night!

Just to bump this thread in that there's a game at 7pm on the server most nights this week. I've made a couple of small changes, such as trimming down the maps and removing Friendly fire for now, but let me know any changes you'd like. Votemap is a possible option, but it's supposedly on there, it's just failing to work right now.

It would really be appreciated if people could hop on there to keep it going and help it get recognised. After that some names I see on there who seem reasonably mature may get admin permissions as I still need admins.

Was fun last night to play on maps other than de_dust2 or cs_office. cs_italy sure does bring back some good memory's, its probably my favourite map :D
 
The maps de_tides and cs_assault seems to lose users on the server as they are not played often, maybe worth removing these, just my thoughts as regards to trying to keep the server popular. :)
 
Assault is one of the best maps. Dust, Dust2 and Aztec are by far the most irritating. Although, im no doubt th eonly person who thinks so.
 
What about having some map vote mod thingy, or is it to much hassle to configure?

That maybe good, at the end of each map change pop up a map vote so the people on the server pick what they want to play. I think the map round times are too short too, 15 rounds on one map is not long enough, I think it should be 20 or 30. :)
 
The only good thing about having a low amount of rounds is that you don't have to sit through the crappy/unpopular maps for too long before moving on. Get rid of this problem by adding a votemap and removing the pants maps, for de_tides being a prime example! It's rubbish!
 
I am reading your input guys and a map voting system would be the best option (still leaving tides etc on the server though), but I need to get it working, until then the rotation on popular maps sounds good. If I remove tides and assault for now and swith it to 20 minutes per map (15 rounds again) from the current 15 then would that sound good? I'll also remove dust1, because it's balanced more towards the CTs and assault counters that by being the other way around.
