Its one of my side keys on my mouse

I see the speaker on the right of the screen when I press it. I only speak like 2 in a 'night' of playing, as nobody answers.

Are you sure the mic button within css matches the mic button in the steam overlay malt?

Go into CSS. In the control options bind the mic key (default K or V) to your mouse thumb button and apply. Then push Shift + Tab to bring up the steam overlay. In settings on the bottom are the Voice options. Bind the 'push to talk' option to your mouse thumb button too.

I wonder if this is the same problem i have. whenver i press 'K' to talk, the speech icon comes up but no1 actually hears me, either that or you're all ignoring me

i'm just using this clip on mic with a set of bose headphones. both work fine for skype.

also maybe worth mentioning, when i do the speech test on the main steam options page i get awful feedback through the headphones, same if i just use the mic and speakers, am i doing something wrong??
