Counter Strike: Source night!

There is already rtv on the server.

Based on suggestions I have made the following changes to the server:

-Map time extended from 15 minutes to 20 minutes or Max Rounds is now 17 rather than 11
-Round time reduced from 3 minutes to 2.5 minutes to reduce waiting time after death
-Alltalk is now enabled.

Will see how these changes go. I will look at adding an aim map or two onto the server at some point although atm I'd rather leave it on official maps only as this saves players having to download maps on server join/map change.

Also I'd call for one sided spectator cam... but that seem's to have been shot down each time. I just don't like the idea of "buddies" telling alive people where others are when they are not on mumble or ts.

Nice one link. Would prefer if its down to 2 minutes, but still, amazing improvements ;)
 
I think force spec might need to be enabled purely because we've looked to invoke FF giving more realism, along with shorter rounds and with all talk on for the banter it does allow for "cheating" to happen... I know the other night I was teasing saying "hes in bomb site C" or randomly "meh? behind you!"...

But it could take the edge if people use alltalk to their advantage.
 
I think force spec might need to be enabled purely because we've looked to invoke FF giving more realism, along with shorter rounds and with all talk on for the banter it does allow for "cheating" to happen... Who really cares if there is "cheating" we only play for fun anyway.
 
Yeh that would make the game infinitely more awesome tbh. We should sort it out asap!

Although we should make it so worst player gets the ladies as a booby prize (pun intended), that way I have a chance!
 
maybe 1 of you gents in the know could help me out with this question....and maybe this is quite normal but anyways.......

quite a few times when i'm shooting at some1 i have been almost certain that i've hit them but when i invariably die and the kill cam flicks to them i see that they still have full health. now i have always put this down to my ropey internet connection, however.....

I was playing a game with only me and bots in it the other night (not Links server btw) and I scoped and shot a bot square in the head with an awp, he didn't die and when he popped me back and i did die the cam flicked to him and i could see that there was blood spatter on the wall behind him and on the characters face but his health was still 100%.....

is this normal behaviour for the game and just one of those things you have to put up with?

I don't really want to change spectate to team members only, because I like to watch the player that killed me to a) reassure myself he isn't cheating and b) to learn something from his play style.

Also, dead players can't talk to live ones anyway!

*The masculinity is just easier to say, if a girl plays it is the same difference. ;)
