Counter-Strike: Source Stats/Achieve Progress

Has anyone had their progress achievements/stats reset, for no reason?

I've over 300 hours of CS play since Steam started recording it and yesterday all my achievement progress reset to 0. Thats all my weapon kills, K: D, bomb plants and so on.

The only stuff that's has not reset are the achievements i managed to get.

I have reported the problem but i have yet to hear back.

I've had stuff not track but never reset.

You create a steam ticket I guess by your report?

Yea, i created a support ticket which im still waiting for a reply.

I dont have all that great stats, its the amount of time ive put in to progress the weapon achivements that annoys me.

I'm afraid I don't know how, but there's a way to undo this by deleting your client side data, forcing it to pull your last saved data from steam cloud which will be up to do, investigate this.

Seems my Community page has also been reset but im up for trying anything so ill try a reinstall on another machine to see what data it pulls in.

Support told me i need to re-earn my achievement progress... Seems they do not keep backups and they didnt explain how i can prevent this.

My first complaint to steam since it was released, so not to bad going but there should be something in place to prevent this or they should have a backups.
