Hi! I will receive my e6600, Tuniq tower 120, gigabyte ds3 and GEIL PC2-6400 800MHz DDR2 Ultra shortly. I have done some overclocking with my Asus A8N-Sli with AMD Athlon 64 3200+ but this is my first intel since pentium 1 so I have couple of questions. 1.First of all the default vdimm is 1.8V so I should set it +0.3 to bios, right?(Geil rated at 2.1 V)
2.Should I lock the pci-e frequency to 100 mhz so it won't go any higher?
3.With the amd setup I always tried to keep the FSB as close as possible to 1000mhz: Should I now try to keep the FSB as close as to the 1066 mhz or what?Is there some kind of multiplier do this(Asus A8N-SLI had that)?
For exaple I run my 3200+ at the moment @ 247x10 ant this multiplier I'm talking about is set to 4x so the FSB(or what ever it's called) is about 1000mhz.
I guess everything else is familiar to me. Up the vcore and vdimm when necessary and so on..Some testing whith memtest 86 and orthos. One more question. Whats the highest vcore with e6600 that I can put for 24/7 use?

quick DS3/E6300/Geil ULL settings guide
in bios, press CTRL+F1
go to the last item on the left
set your CPU to FSB to about 400
set your ram to the correct timings (5-5-5-15 or whatever)
set your ram voltage to 2.1 or +0.3/0.4
turn off all the settings that change performance etc or the fan speed etc.
or just read the DS3 guide at the top of the page.

Do you mean this guide . What is this for: 3. In the Advanced Bios Features Menu, Disable all of the following: CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E), CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2), CPU EIST Function? And these 7. Set the MCH Voltage to +0.1v 8. Set the FSB Voltage to +0.1v? And isn't there some king of memory divider to get ram to 800mhz with default FSB?

CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) etc are for SpeedStep (Intels version of Cool'n'Quiet).

Set the MCH Voltage... etc are chipset voltages.

And set the Memory Multiplier to 3.0 to get your RAM running at 800Mhz on a 266 FSB.

Thanks! Is it necessary to up the chipset voltages?

Only if you're pushing the fsb over 400Mhz.
Are you running stock chipset voltages?(400x9 maybe)I don't like to up other than vcore and vdimm because I've heard that this board can get quite hot. I should have pretty nice air flow with antec 900 ultimate gamer. And the last question should I put the pci-e to 100mhz(is 100mhz the default?) so it won't go any higher(or does it when you up the FSB)?
