Couple of SSD questions.....

First of all, is there any difference between the standard Crucial M4 and the "NEW 7mm" version - other than the fact it's slimmer obviously? (any benefits??)

I'm looking for a 128GB SSD to slot into my Dell XPS L702x - does anyone know which I need to be going for as it's obviously going in a very specified space!?!?

Also, as far as speed goes, what stats should I be looking at for a boot drive? I have no idea what is important between 4K read/write, random read/write, "IOPS" etc???

No differences at all, afaik.. Maybe a new version controller, but that only means a few MB/s more or less.. From the rest, nothing to worry about..
You want to put it on your laptop, so only you can see the dimensions on the HDD space. Meassure it, and check the dimensions on the SSD manufacturer's website to see if it fits..
