Cousin has moved house to an area with NO mobile coverage whatsoever

He has tried sim cards from ALL the main UK networks but can get no signal as he is in the bottom of a small valley.

Is there any inernet service whereby he can have texts and calls sent to a house phone or VOIP?

Or is there any other way to get around the fact that he cannot accept calls or texts on a mobile whilst at home?

Look for a phone with supports UMA (eg blackberry) and a network which offers it. Lets you connect through wifi I believe.

EDIT: Bah, I lost!

I have this in our house after I threatened to leave Vodafone due to getting no signal in our house with new phones. They gave it to me FOC . There were dead spots all over the place which have got worse over the years. I now have 4 bars all over the place with a Desire and Legend.

The Vodafone device is excellent.
At home I could get 1-2 bars of signal - non 3G.
I now get nearly full strength all over the house and it's a 3G signal.
