Quite a pleasant cover, but she doesnt really add much to the original song.

The Beatles = Incredible just listen to the White Album to see how far ahead they were.

while i'd agree they're overrated, they're a lot more deserving of it than some overrated bands

Why exactly is it a garbage post? He's not saying they were a poor band (which, at a stretch, might justify your reply), rather that they are overrated.

Similarly, Radiohead, whilst being a great band, probably don't justify the ridiculous hyperbole offered by their fans.
 
It's fine saying that they are overrated but just think about how prolific they were and at such high quality. Nobody has come anywhere close since that I can think of.

As long as you arn't basing this on the '1' greatist hits album, thats fine.

But they wrote many fantastic songs and pushed quite a few bounderies too.

Quite frankly I would be happier with someone calling them a poor band - that's about passable as their opinion. However, given the range of music they produced and the boundaries they pushed, calling them overrated is a statement based in ignorance (say, basing their view entirely on Please Please Me esque songs). If any one band deserves high praise/rating, there are likely few so deserving as the Beatles.

that doesnt mean they arent overrated though, the amount of scousers who think the beatles are the best band ever just because they're scousers is just silly
