Okay as some of you may remember me and my missus are have issues, I don't feel that I am in love with her anymore, however we are going to couples counceling etc for ourselves but also a major factor is the kids....

however I've been saving an "get the hell out of here" fund and am upto about a grand now.... Problem is I need a new coat, a purchase that you can't really hide, as my current one finally gave up the ghost on me this morning and died.

How would you guys recommend I cover up the spending of near £200 on a decent all purpose coat in a way that doesnt mean she finds out Ive been hoarding cash?

Why spend your "get out" cash on a coat? Just tell her you need a new coat for work and buy one from your normal cash.

Not buying a £200 coat would be a good solution, there are plenty cheap coats out there that can keep you warm, hell grab one from a charity shop.

I can see why she hates you..200 notes on a coat seems slightly ott when you have kids..does she say you are selfish by any chance?

That's sad you don't 'love' her anymore, but good that you're both mature enough to work at it for the sake of your children.

Firstly, why do you need to spend £200 on a coat?

Secondly, why can't you say that it's just birthday/christmas money you've not spent?

Why do you even need a 'get the hell out of here' fund if you're both working on your relationship.
