Cpu advice

Hi im after a CPU, MBoard, 2Gig memory and a cooler for a budget of £150ish.
Not bothered whether intel or amd.My problem is comparing cpus for instance how does this

Thanks for the response it does help.Im upgrading my sons single core amd64 3500 with 1 gig ram.I'll take a look at toms chart and see what comes in.
Didn't know lga775was end of line so i will watch what i buy.

Thanks all it looks like most new cpus will be an upgrade over the single core amd64 3500.I will let you know what i get.
