Cpu air cooler

load temps with prime wasnt going higher than 70c think before it was around 85c

That's very good then. I wouldn't be too concerned with your idle temps. Idle temps can be influenced by a number of factors that the cooler alone can't regulate. This may include high ambient temperatures, your fan speed if PWM is enabled, or Intel Speedstep. Of course, load temps are affected by those as well but their contributions become relatively less.

Must be the ambient, im guessing your in england mate. You guys seem to be getting it even warmer than we are over here.

With the k2, id also hazard a guess that your getting a lot less noise than your previous cooler. Another option later is to perhaps swap out the stock fans. Whilst theyre not bad, i got much better results with x2 120mm akasa piranhas.

yea england mate doesnt feel like it though very warm, yea the cooler is a hell of a lot quieter ok thanks ill look into maybe adding different fans

found out why it was idling so high it was running at 3.7ghz at all times some reason speedstep wasn't enabled its enabled now and my temps are around 35c on all cores in this heat so im happy :)
