CPU and motherboard temp wrong way round?

Well in things like the gigabyte software, my CPU is 33 and motherboard is 55. Now in core temp my CPU is 44/44. Am I correct in assuming that the surface CPU temp and mainboard are the wrong way round?

i would probably say that your gigabyte software is correct my asus probe always gives me lower temps to ITAT (intel thermal analysis tool) again it's around 10-12c cooler in asus probe!
