CPU bottlenecking ? upgrade to intel ?

Are they 2gb 6950s per chance? or 1gb?

I had this problem when running 2x 275's on a q6600 moving them to a i7 920 made a massive diffrence

Have you checked the temp's see if there not throttling back as aftermarket coolers arnt akwasy the best for multi gpu placement

temps are like idle about 30c-40c underload 50-60c

Looks like a intel chip is what you need then take not of the pci-e placment when picking your next mobo

That should fit the bill nicley good spacing on the pci-e slots as well letting them cards breathe
