CPU break in period??

thermal paste that you apply to the cpu needs a running in period i read in the instrutions after that the paste dispates the heat better.


Well the only TIM l know that has to cure is AS5, the rest you can crank your CPU up straight away, the only thing l do is tight'n the heatsink down a touch after a few days as the TIM has had time to settle down.

IC TIM recommends doing the above and also put the IC in a warm place to heat it up so it spreads easier, both good tips for getting the best from your TIM. :)
 
Even if the idea of CPU burn in were true, which is blatantly isn't, all CPUs are stress tested post production so have been fully loaded before they ever reach the consumer. So even the most superstitious overclocker should be good to go out of the box.
