cpu choice help!!!!!!

i need a cpu cooler less than £30 for a quad core, am3 socket. The cpu cooler must be less than 165mm in height

A good cooler and only 153mm tall.

What CPU is this going to be used on? If it is a Sandybridge, then you should be able to get a minimum of 4GHz with this.

the cpu is a phenom ii 955 3.2ghz i was hoping to get 3.8ghz or more out of this chip

i was about to recommend the gelid, but i see someone already has. you should be able to get 3.8 out of the phenom with that cooler.

speaking of which, i really ought to overclock my PC since ive had my cooler for ages and done bugger all with it

do you know if the gelid cpu cooler supports two fans, if so does it come with extra clips to add a second fan

I think it only supports one fan, to add a second you probably need to improvise.

by improvise do you mean use sellotaping, bluetacking or even gluing the fan

While on the subject I wouldn't use elastic bands either.

They rot and snap.

Also the fins on coolers can be quite sharp and could cut into stretched elastic.
