CPU compativbility

Hi, my mobo is the following:

Asus M2N78-LA (Violet)

Im planning on buying a Athlon II x2 3.ghz

Would the new cpu fit or would I have to buy a new mobo ?
If I need a new mobo, can anyone link some cheap suggestions ?

Euhh im not really a hardware guy, not sure if HP..

Compaq-Presario its called, I bought it a year or so ago, dont know if this helps

Edit: Also I noticed the one you linked me has (Viola) At the end while the one I linked in OP is Violet. any difference ?

Yeah I was thinking that too, doesnt really say II there.

Although it says its a am2+ mobo.

Could anyone clear this up

Edit: If the mobo isnt compatible with the CPU, could anyone link a cheap AM2+ Mobo that supports the previously linked CPU?

Current CPU is Sempron 2.2ghz...

(Case is pretty big, im building the comp for mid/high gaming)

From what andy said, I can fit a full ATX board, and Yes id like to keep the DDR2 ram.
From what I can see theres only really micros that are am2+ on ocuk.

Edit: Actually I dont think it matters if its Micro ATX or normal, does it? I know the card will fit from what RJC has told me, but what about other things ??
