Hello
I'm a newb at overclocking. I recently built a new computer, with the following specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition Quad-Core 2.5 GHz Socket AM2+
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6
RAM: 4GB Corsair
Case: MIST Define *
GFX: GeForce 8800GTS 512MB
PSU: MIST 600W

Width: 190 mm
Height: 485 mm
Standard: ATX

Now... I wanna overclock the CPU. I tried overclocking it using the stock fan, but started having stability issues, so I clocked it down again.

Can anyone please recommend me a fan, based on the following criteria, ranked after importance:
1. Silent
2. Easy to install (preferably one using the mounting system of the stock fans, so I don't need to pull out the mobo)
3: Well... one that cools very well :p
4: Price

Thanks in advance :)

Uh? Now I'm confused.
If you mean the Microplex links, it's because MIST isn't a well-known brand, so you guys could see which fan might be able to fit into the case... I can remove them, if it's a problem.

OK, for a top performing cooler you're looking at either the Noctua, Tuniq Tower or Thermalright 120 Extreme.

The Noctua is a great cooler and extremely quiet, the Thermalright is a top notch overclocking cooler and the Tuniq Tower is an incredibly popular midpoint between the two.

Personally, I'd go for the Noctua or Tuniq Tower:

Yes, the same mounting system.
Can't find it in Norway, but I assume I could order it from OCUK, or somewhere else abroad.
Is it good?

they are pretty good use i amusing the intel version wch is pretty mucj the same. if you have thf fan run at over 75% they can start to get noisy how ever my fan never runs above 50% speed. cooling wise they are also very good they are quite as good as the even bigger ones that were mentioned above but this costs under half the amount. it also comes with thermal paste pre aplied a good quality paste aswell. if you arnt going to overclock to extreme levels then this will do .

dont know what postage would be like, woud be better if you could find it in yoru country

I found it on some obscure online shop here. Unless anyone has any other suggestions, I'm gonna go for that fan. Thanks, thefishdude. :)
