CPU Cooler for Asus H81I-Plus Mini ITX with tall ram

No, it means the CPU fan is blowing air through the cooler and the rear fan is pulling air in the same direction and then out of the case, if anything it will be helping the CPU fan.

Front intake fan -> CPU fan -> Rear exhaust fan ->

Thats good. Glad I had gotten it wrong.

yeah afaik its set right.

temp is 33c right now with 2 VM's and 3 MMO clients running. case is physically freezing to touch. fans spinning at 600-800rpm.

tbf theres barely anything inside the case to produce heat lol. no dedicated GPU. basically just 2 ssd's and the board/ram/cpu.

very happy with it tho. super speedy even with the iGPU for the things i need it to do.

What noctua cooler did you use? I have the same motherboard and I'm looking for a cooler to replace this stock intel one
That motherboard has DIMM slots very near CPU socket, so would be best to have heatsink designed to completely avoid memory clearance issues.

Also Mini-ITX cases can have very little room for CPU heatsink, so what case do you have?

Kudoes to you Allmondjoy for searching for an answer instead of just starting a new thread. It shows an effort to solve own problems without asking others, then asking someone who has similar system.

Asus H1I-Plus only has about 87.7mm center CPU to near side of PCIe socket, 48.9mm center CPU to near side of RAM socket and 89.5 center CPU to back of case (maybe a little more) .. no real clearance issues there except getting a cooler that will fit fan behind your RAM if it is tall RAM. As EasT said, we need to know your case CPU clearance is to be able to suggest coolers that will fit. Most manufacturers give the CPU clearance in case specifications.
