CPU Temp 23c at idle + 32c atfull load.
I have a Panaflo 120mm fan running @ 21Dcb
:D
i aint saying your a liar but are you sure your motherboard is reporting the correct temps? as 23c idle for the cpu is pretty impressive seeing as room temp is usually 20-23c.

Yeah thats near impossible, even the best water cooling kits can only cool to around 9-10c over ambient when under load... unless you live in siberia or something you would need a delta at least

:o
Asus Probe is showing 46c - after pc being on for 6 hours

It seems my T/Take Hardcano 12 is only reporting 23c (which is what I based the figs on) - so might have to re-position probe to get more accurate read outs.

Hi,

my cpu was idling today @ 22°C so yeah my vote goes to the Thermalright series coolers (Thermalright eat Arctic Cooling anyday!).

I heard the XP-120 *may* perform 1°C better than the SI-120, but the latter is a lot more compatible with motherboards which is why I bought it.

Fits on my ASUS mobo 100% perfect, can access DIMMS1,2,3,4 as normal etc.

It's a no-brainer, the Thermalright coolers are where you wanna be at if your into air-cooling, your never gonna get this type of result with a £14.00 Heatsink, also with the Thermalright you can choose your exact fan match to suit your tastes (Hoover, silent, UV etc).

I like my Zalman 9500. Haven't tried a XP120 but have used Asetek Micro Extreme, Freezer 64, Zalman 7000 and a thermaltake K8...it's better than any of those easily. On full it's pretty loud but bearable.

Temps are 32 idle, 47 load, 250x12, 1.52v.

I have got an Akasa AK913 only about 20quid and it comes with a fan controller as you said you didnt like noise! My opteron 144 @ 2.6, 1.55V (only had it for a few days) is at 29 idle and about 40 under load with the fan at a bearable 3000RPM
