Look for my name on the Vortez reviews and those are the good reviews

. But seriously, before leaving the site, I had discussed deeply how cooler reviews should be done and despite agreeing, the new reviewer didn't following any of the testing procedures I recommended. This makes the review no different to what you'll find on all other sites. Shame really because I tried steering the site towards being more technical and in-depth than others and it has now ended up being exactly the same as the 100s of reviews sites out there.
I have tested the original Matterhorn but its main flaw was its mounting kit. The new ones, including the Pure, uses a significantly improved mounting kit which may help improve performance but probably not by a significant amount. The Cooler Master is a massive cooler and although the stock single fan isn't great, the cooler is still the best at its price-point. Its main selling point is how much potential it has. You can easily add two 140mm fans (with 120mm mounting holes) and get improved performance. And although this drives up the cost into the £50 region, its resulting performance will still match other coolers in that price bracket.
