cpu cooling quick question

hey guys,

next week i'm upgrading my rig to a quad amd athlon II 635 & ecs mobo

what i'm wondering is, i currently have a arctic freezer pro 7 cooling my cpu in siggy

i've still got the amd fittings that came with the cooler, but was curious about

obviously it costs more then the freezer 7 pro, but i'm wondering if it does the job any better

my C2D hasn't been OC'd at all but i'm planning on experimenting with overclocking the amd to say 3.5ghz? if the mobo lets me

be nice to get some advice and hints from anyone.

I wouldnt bother, your current cooler should be fine, not worth it imo

Looking at most the reviews on Google, it isn't a massive improvement. Take this one for example http://www.kitguru.net/components/henry-butt/arctic-cooling-freezer-xtreme-rev-2-cpu-cooler-review/4/

The Freezer Pro is good budget cooler but if you want to give yourself a bit more room to play around with oc'ing temps it might be worth pushing your budget a bit and getting something like the Akasa Viper or Fenrir Titan.
