Hi
I thinking about changing my CPU cooler, I'm currently using stock amd.
I'm thinking about getting a akasa venom, coolermaster v8 or a thermaltake firo.
Any body able to offer sOme guidance or advice on which one to get?
Thanks :)

I'm using the Akasa Venom to cool my i5 2500k. It idles at 26 -28 and is at 55 - 59 load. So, for the price it's a good air cooler. I do like the v8, preforms about the same as he Venom. Don't know much about the Frio but reading these forums, a lot of the members here rate it.

Edit. Welcome to the forums

Thanks for the quick reply, I am thinking about getting the akasa as it does look pretty cool, my Only problem is the weight, is it heavy enough to break when on it's side? I guess this is the same for all 3

The Thermaltake Frio is the best looking cooler (IMO) although I'm pretty sure they're all around the same level of performance.

As for breaking from the weight I doubt it unless it was installed incorrectly. A long as it's securely attached to the motherboard it will stay there until you don't need it anymore.
