I guess one option is to buy a board with 10Gb already, like Gigabyte's Aorus Master or Asus Creator, but they're not priced that differently to the Hero, so I don't know if you'd gain anything.

The trick will be to find a desktop board that can accommodate the ridiculous size requirements of an RTX 5090 and leave space for a NIC without impacting the GPUs cooling too much, while at the same time still allowing good air flow over the NIC.

A motherboard that allows for an add in card to hang of the bottom PCIE slot and case with some space at the bottom would be ideal. Most desktop boards and cases seem to be designed around accommodating 4-5 slot GPU and nothing else.
