CPU Fan error BIOS

Hi, I'm running all my fans off a fan controller including my CPU fans.
I get a CPU fan error message on startup and the computer want boot. I assume this is a safety feature is there anyway to override this?
Mobo is a asus p8p67 pro

There should be an option in your BIOS to ignore the fan speed.

Run the speed sense wire from the CPU fan to the motherboard cpufan header. You might need some soldering skill and a spare fan you don't mind destroying for this. Or let your motherboard control the CPU fan.

Strange though as the BIOS setting should do the trick.

I'm guessing you're using an Asus board? Had the same problem and solved it with this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-031-AK&groupid=1929&catid=153&subcat=

Think some Asus boards can't send enough power to large fans properly when at boot.
