Hey there i'm putting this in here as i think that it's a general hardware error. It's nothing too serious (i hope) but when I start my PC I sometimes get a CPU fan error. When I press F1 the system boots up fine.

Im curious if anyone has had this error. I think its because the way my rig is setup, as My CPU fan points into the roof of the case, and there is also a fan case above it. So im not sure if theyre contradicting eachother or not, but when i check fan speeds in bios, the cpu fan speed fluxiates around 800 rpm and every few seconds it reports that its 19000 rpm or so.

Anyone had problems with this or any suggestions? Thanks.

Is your motherboard an Asus one? Also is the fan a PWN fan? If so then you can just set the fan speed to 'ignored' in the bios.
My motherboard used to do this because when idle, the speed used to drop to ~500rpm. WHich made it think the fan was faulty

Oh yeah I forgot to check if it could be "ignored". Thanks. As far as I know its working fine, thought it was giving me an error because of the two fans which are closely facing eachother. Thanks for the help.

19000RPM!?!?

Is it a delta? :p - But just keep check to see whether its working fine or not, usually just a faulty sensor :)

Haha lol, just checked those videos, brilliant. Its not making that noise and doesnt seem to be rapidly changing speed, so im not sure but got the setting on ignored and think my cpu temps are pretty stable. Thanks.
