CPU help

Hey,

I have at last got the money together to begin my build. However am unsure about which CPU to go for !!!

I had decide that it was going to be the I7 however with newer cpu's being released am needing to know whats recommended

(Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 (h64)
(Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 (p67)
LGA1366 (x56)

So am a bit confused on whats currantly the best or even compatible with what lol

The computer is going to be used for running virtual servers for uni work and for playing games.
Am wondering what is more advanced and why ?
What CPU should I go for?

Being a student I dont have a money tree so need to know via value aswell lol

Go i5-2500K with P67 motherboard if you can afford it and want to overclock.

By the way, the chipsets are H67, P67 and X58.
