Can you use something else to control the fans?

I'm not sure if speedfan can do what you want, but I suspect that it can (delay fan ramp up)

It is a pain to setup sometimes, but it works for me now I have it working.

I could but I'd rather use the BIOS TBH as it's more reliable. I did use Thermal Radar 2 which came with my motherboard but for some reason it kept forgetting my fans and profiles so I ditched it.

You can set a rough fan profile for each in bios. Just set each fan to manual and you'll have 3 different temp/speed settings for each fan.

Use something like r15 to test. Nice quick test and will put 100% load on cpu.

@RipGroove I think I saw your post on joinsquad forums? I also play Squad and have a 1080ti. I have also ordered a 7700k and plan to delid before installing on custom water. Interested to see how hot your chip gets while playing squad? What frames do you get with what settings in squad?

What motherboard are you using? the earlier gigaybyte boards where pumping loads of volt into the cpu on idle and under load.the fix it with bois update.

Also your not the only having random temp spikes other have noted this too
